THE EXPERIENCE BEHIND DAWN
Ajit Kumar
Ajit Kumar brings 30 years of professional experience across insolvency, restructuring, corporate finance, real estate and complex financial situations. His core expertise spans corporate finance, project finance, working capital, capital raising, financial modelling, FDI/FEMA, strategic planning, M&A, turnaround, corporate governance, financial restructuring and insolvency.
Prior to entering professional practice, Ajit spent more than two decades in industry, including over 10 years with DLF Limited, where he was involved in residential and commercial projects, corporate finance, FDI, joint development arrangements, shareholding arrangements and other strategic transactions. He also worked with Laing O’Rourke, a leading international infrastructure construction company, gaining exposure to large-scale infrastructure and construction environments.
Since entering full-time professional practice as a Cost Accountant and Senior Financial Consultant, he has worked across complex financial and business situations involving project financing, working capital financing, financial re-engineering and restructuring, investment, financial modelling, investor relationships, FDI/FEMA matters and distressed businesses.
His broader managerial experience includes strategic planning, M&A, new entity formation, due diligence, change management, resource optimisation, turnaround management, corporate governance and executive leadership.
Ajit Kumar has extensive experience in insolvency and restructuring and has served as IRP, RP and Liquidator in professional assignments across manufacturing, real estate, textiles, paper, chemicals, logistics, trading, rice and mobile manufacturing sectors.
Ajit's strength lies in combining operational understanding with financial, restructuring and insolvency expertise, enabling him to assess the business, capital structure, stakeholders and strategic alternatives together.
